Hello Kaz Welcome The hut can be as expensive as you want to pay In the search engine box type Ascott Smallholding Supplies They have a nice range but a bit pricey but will show you whats about
Hello and welcome Kazchick!!I have a lot of hens .....and other animals too. I am involved in ex battery hen rescues, so please consider having some of the lovely hens from one of the rescues. If you look on the website, there are details there. Probably you will not have your house ready in time for the next rescue on 24th July, but they are on a regular basiswww.henrehomers.net
Hi Kaz, I used to live in Essex - now in Norfolk. I've had my chooks for about a month now & have received invaluable help from the kind people on here.I bought a coop from Chicken Coops Direct (£179) - a lovely well-made coop with a run, but they recommended it for 4 hens and I think it's too small for 4 - although my Orpingtons are larger than some hens. I ended up buying what they call a "lad's shed" from B & Q for about £75 and then the Ol' man built a lovely run around it. We sort of modified it by turning the side of the shed where the window should have been upside down & screwing the nest box from the "proper" coop on to the space where the window hole is.... (Ingenious huh?) It works pretty well, I think.
