Tagging. Prob a daft question
« on: July 27, 2017, 06:00:05 pm »
Hello.
We have decided to sell 2 gilts which we have raised for meat.  Due to circumstances beyond our control their sisters went off later than planned and therefore were bigger than anticipated thereby fulfilling all our requirements!!
If we sell these two live, do we need to tag them. I know they will need the final holding number tags if they go to the abattoir so do they need ours to move as well?
Thank you

How old are they? Pigs under a year of age can move on a temporary paint mark. All pigs through a market must be tagged.
