1kg rasps,450g sugar,115g diced butter,4 large beaten eggs
chuck berries and 2 tablespoons water in pan,bring to boil,simmer covered for 5 mins or till very soft.
rub it through a sieve into double boiler or glass dish over pan of simmering water.
add sugar, butter, eggs whisk with balloon whisk until sugar and butter melt.
simmer, stir constantly with WOODEN spoon until thickens turn off the heat stir for 5 mins to cool.
pop in hot sterilised jars, leave to cool and keep in fridge
