Any Guinea Fowl people out there who may be able to help me?
I have two males who have been living in my garden, getting rid of nasty bugs(and good ones, I daresay!) but the neighbours don't believe that they won't scratch up their seedlings as chicken would. They are also a bit noisy, though no more so than the sparrows, rooks, pigeons and "her next door"!!
I am going to take them up to our field where they will have all the freedom they could want (I am keeping them in an aviary at present for the neighbours sake) but I see that I will have to keep them contained up there in a chicken house and run.
How long must I keep them confined before they know which is their territory? Is it better to let them roost in the trees when they finally have their freedom? Or should I have a house for them at night?
Hope someone can help :)
