Jakoti shears and similar are  self sharpening , just needing a rub occasionally  across the flat  .  B & B need sharpening before  or after use if dagging or during if doing a lot ,   and if shearing then  a rub after every sheep .    people keep saying that jakoti are really sharp but the right b&b ,set up correctly and sharpened should be just as sharp

Hi all
I bought the drummer boy shears and they are great. It takes me a long time to shear each of them but I think my fastest so far is 30-40mins just the others were a bit tight. I bought the b&b sharpeners
