Have you reduced the size of your photos?

I did try but they are jpegs and couldn't figure it put.

If you have Microsoft Office Picture manager (most people do) then open the picture with that, click "Picture", "Resize" and then select "Web Large" from the drop-down menu...

All photos are jpegs or bitmaps.  You should do as Sam says.  It IS easy, honestly :-)
