Anyone been watching it? What do you think?
Is it just me that finds Kate Humble really annoying?
I recon the farmer was struggling to keep his eyes open on last nights show.
Do you think he's begining to regret inviting the film crew in?

Yes I'm watching it, I'm surprised Kate Humble seems so naive when she has spent 6 months training at the farm? I understand why she got so upset last night, I still do when soemthing doesnt make it, but the rest of the time she seems a little clueless? I enjoy any programme like that, I admire that couple coping with 900 ewes, I reckon they work bloomin hard!

Yes, I've been watching avidly.  Have only lambed three times in the past, so hoping to learn something.  So far, I'm very impressed with the Beavan's setup but I bet they've spent ages keeping all the animals and sheds clean for the cameras, on top of having to deal with lambing.  No lambs with yellow poo on their rear ends I note!!!!  For a farm dog the sheepdog Lass looks unbelievably clean.  I think Kate Humble's problem is that she is a bit to bubbly and bouncy for such an arduous and tiring task, though she did appear a bit less bouncy last night than Sunday.  Otherwise, think she's doing OK for a beginner.  Looking forward to tonight's programme.

Like you Morri I am watching to learn. I think the problem I have is with all the filling in. A bit like Autumn/Spring Watch, there is loads of time spent telling us nothing. I think they would be better to record and edit it down to half an hour of really interesting stuff

I think it's great for the general public to get to see this and that people are asking questions. The Bevans come across really well, I wouldn't like a camera in with me all the time. I like Kate Humble she's very natural and she has to ask lots of questions she already knows the anwers to so we can all be informed. On the british farming forum a lot of people were hoping the programme would show the bad as well as the good which i agree with. I also like the way Adam is looking at different breeds each night. I do have barn envy seeing all those lovely old stone barns!

Well I have quite enjoyed it although some bits like foot trimming would have been nice with some close-ups of before and after.

Just had a set of triplets born this afternoon and not sure there was anything shown so far to help me.  All alive but one looks a bit hunched up and sorry for himself.  Given 2 small ones some colostrum via tube and just hope they are all ok in the morning.

I think she fired them out and they are probably traumatised!  One minute there was one and the next three.

At least my 2 week old twins will have some playmates in a few days.

and i espect that the bevon family really thought it over before making the
decision to invite the crew in.
with a big farm like that i think he is like that pretty much all the time.
blimey when i posted a topic about my dream farm people were complaining about monty don then,
you know, these people and the programmes are set out to help and encourage those of us who
are into farming. i applaued kate for getting so involved as she has, so if your asking if kate has
annoyed me,NO

Yes she is a bit annoying but any attractive woman lambing with loads of makeup on and not looking bleary eyed and smudged would irritate me.
I think she has to play the daft lassie to get them talking. - oh dear better stop before i start telling blonde jokes. - as mother of 4 beautiful blonde girls that would be bad.

We watching some episodes now, good stuff, great for the general public to see what happens.  I really enjoyed Aam going through the breeds and talking about the mule crossing with the texel, food for thought

I haven't seen tonight's episode, but I did catch up with the other two.  I quite enjoyed it, much better than Most Haunted Live!  Plus, next year I'll know what to look for if I want some good rams!

I find that Sky plusing it works well for me. There is some really interesting stuff and I can skip through the filling in and get to the thrilling bits/informative pieces. As you say, it beats a lot of the other stuff on the telly and it's nice to have something relevant to watch.

I suppose Kate's not that bad really, she's certainly getting stuck in there - hats off to her.

Yes we watch it it is useful to pick up a few tips from it as I have only bred my pets for the second time so any help I can get is well appreciated, and Kate is good for the part she obviously likes animals and I think she is enjoying her time there.
