What a lovely idea, it's so nice to see the pics.
Maybe we could all put up pics of out little idyls?

P.S I have serious farm envy!

Off to give the pet sheep their morning treats and head rubs
(a photostory)

Home field to middle field gate

The views of middle and far field hills with my woodland above

Diagonally to the bridge

Bridge over 'the brogan'

My pet flock waiting in Oaktree field

Twiglet.. the only one born on the farm

Now we're in Fiona field with Polar and Rambo - twiggies mum and dad.. both turned up at different times as unclaimed strays. Rambo is a sweetie (has been castrated now) but Polar is a skittish biatch who butted her lamb away and ignored her.

Rambo is just a  big teddy-bear..

This is Red .. who appears to self-shear

Lastly fat boy Blue - second in .. always eating..

The next two pics sadly came out out of focus.. considering the PITA scramble down to the Brogan to take them..
It makes the stream look bigger than it really is. It doesn't deserve a name nut it's on the OS maps

And my flock saying goodbye...

Good question! Locals tell me Polar is a mule.. some sort of blue-faced leicester cross buelah? Rambo no idea.. twiglet of course crossed between them and then Red and Blue are probably Welsh although their coats are a bit different. They were a cheap undocumented pet lamb buy/rescue. OH views this place as a sanctuary. We got Blue and Red as pets to rear and have tame to try and tame the two originals - which worked. Twiglet as Polar's reject was reared for the first two weeks in the utility room..thoroughly spoilt and will trade kisses....Her fleece is interesting. Like her mother it's very soft and tight tiny ringlets.

yep, I could definitely use an envy emoticon  ;D .

your sheep are very clean - Red looks very, well, white; some of mine look like they've been mud wrestling - which is particularly odd as they don't have access to mud at the moment  ??? .

Red is the dainty refined one. If you look closely Polar was dragging a lump of bramble. They're all a bit grubby around the back ends.. I'm waiting for a friendly farmer to come shear them this week - they like to take the piddle out of my massive flock 'down't pub' compared to their several hundred... but kind enough to shear them for me foc when they have a spare minute.
