I have been keeping bees for nearly 5 years now.
I would recomend this beekeeping forum
www.beekeepingforum.co.ukThornes sell flat packed hives, but you are best waiting until their sales times to get "seconds" ones. All of mine are seconds as most people get. About £80 without frames or wax.
Or they do a very good package called "bees on a budget"
Or if you want to be a bit more modern, try the Omlet Beehaus
www.omlet.co.ukOmelt also run training courses (I actualy run one) so I will have to recomend them! I also have a beehaus.
A nuc of bees will be about £100 - £150, but if you are not in a rush, try setting up a bait hive, you might get lucky and "catch" another keepers lost swarm!
