i was quite astounded by this article on the bbc website! i couldnt believe that much is wasted on a daily / yearly basis! the 5,500 whole chickens thrown away each day in the uk is such a waste and quite disgusting.

I found it quite unbelievable too - 1.3 MILLION pots of yogurt!! I was ahlf listening thsi morning and I thought this was per year not per day.At least nothing died to make the yogurt (at least not directly) Maybe rising food prices will make folk a bit more appreciative of food.

Absolutly disgusting, these people must have so much money to waste, I dont have enough for a compost bin any more since all these chickens and pigs!!!!

wow that is a lot of waste and i just do my nut in if some one put the food in the wrong bin lol
