Beth, Sandy & Steve have just been to see my pups - rushed off a few mins ago as the weather is turning so i must off out to the shops before the hill gets too bad to get up it.  Mine are quite boisterous now and two of them will be here for another couple of weeks yet, with two others another week after that and my own boy staying here.  I think Sandy and Steve got an idea of what 11 will be like at that age.

I'd love to come round and see them! As for Sandy, perhaps she could rope some guests into helping with them  ;D
You're welcome any time - except tomorrow!  With a  bit of luck I should have all the family here - 2 nephews, their wives and daughters, son, daughter, son-in-law, 3 grandchildren, and my sister and brother-in-law.  Now where did I put that vodka shot - I'll need it - 5 pups, 4 dogs,a cat, 3 ducks and a drake, 9 hens and a cockerel, and a partridge in a - oops I forgot to plant one :-)

I've finally got a lighter schedule for the coming week, so I'll give you a poke in a couple of days when I know when I'll be free and see if you match up.

On the family note: I will be VERY disappointed if I don't hear you answered the door to them with 2/3rd empty vodka bottle in hand!

Just as well none of us were on the vodka tonight, although us yins at home could have done with it.  My sister and brother-in-law took almost 6 hours to come here from Inverness.  My nephew and his family went home to East Calder, having seen his Mum and Dad for about an hour;  and took 2 and a half hours to get home, with us checking the weather websites and webcams and phoning them with updates so they could avoid certain routes; my son went a bit later to Paisley and it took him almost 3 and half hours. The two Mums here were just about having kittens let alone puppies!  Bloody snow!

Bloody snow, only nice to play in if you don't have to go anywhere...I dread going out as I am petrified of falling......Steve has to cycle in it so hope he is OK.

Back to Islay and her pups...I have been having to tempt her with chicken and stock mixed in with her puppy food, and we also had to drag her out for a wee but today she got up by hersself and went out and devoured a big bowl full of chicken and puppy food mixed with the chicken stock and she loves the Goats milk.....I am feeding her 4 times a day at the moment so we bough a few chickens and cooked them and boiled up the bones etc for stock and also got some cheap mince for her to mix with her puppy food, otherwise, the pups are fine.....we are going to order the expensive cadge and it also looks sturdy and can be used for other things...ironicly someone rang up to  book for a week after Christmas but they do not want breakfast otherwise I would have to have said No to them...we need the money to support our growing family.....anyway all is well, Isaly seems very relaxed when Ben is in the room, he just looks out the courner of his eye at the pups and is being spoiled by staying with me most of the time.

Nearly came in past this afternoon when I was at the Post Office then the Co-op but it started to snow and get dark so just turned and headed for home.  We had Helen's black lab dog here and Neil's Springer as well.  Belle was a little protective but they weren't that interested in the puppies so she decided she didn't really need to kill them. ;D ;D ;D

:(Woke up at 4.00am due to load noises from the pups only to find one dead under her and one trapped behind her although that one was fine.THe heat pad was also out the bed so the pups were getting a bit cold, I suppose that's one reason they got under her. I have now put her in another bed wiht roll bars although I doubt it would have made nay difference to the one under her!!! Now I am worried that she will do it again, with 10 pups now, a lot for her to look after...fingers crossed, I shall be on tender hooks until they are at least 3 weeks old!

Awww sorry to hear Sandy, thats such a shame. Still she's doing very well- its really hard for her with a first litter and there being so many of them.

Glad to hear she likes the gots milk- you're welcome to some more.
