Hi Sorry a torn knee ligament is slowing me up on all fronts. My neighbour tells me that they do take dogs that are gifted to them. Do you want me to get you a number or have you found her a loving home?

Hi Buffy- I will not be gifting her- she has cost me £500 so far ;-) I want to make sure she gets the perfect home, rather than just passing her on. Thank you anyway.

Every little helps  :) Actually it's my OH who's the star- he hates spaniels and now has a third to look after while I'm at work  :innocent:

Fab news. Little Daisy went to her new home on Friday. She is going to be doted on, living in the house with another spaniel. They will carry on with the gundog training I started and hope to have her working by the end of this season. Her new mummy is already dotty about her  :excited:
A happy ending to my part of her story, but I do miss her  ;)

No so great news. Daisy is coming back on Thursday. Apparently she has pee'd on the carpet 7 times. She lived outdoors previously so was probably never housetrained so I'm not too surprised, but this is obviously something they are not prepared to deal with.  We had her in the house at night but she was crated and she never had an accident.
He even asked if he could pay less for her. Apart from the fact that I haven't settled the last vets bill yet, even if she was free she would still pee on the carpet!
So the search is on again for a home for her. I'm really upset as I just want the best for her >:(

 :(

I cannot understand some people! If she's peeing on the carpet, train her not to. You don't send her back like she's defective!

I got my Lola dog because the home she was going to sent her back when she barked and it scared the blokes girlfriend!
That said I'm glad they did send her back because now she's with us.

:fc: you can find an even better home for her that cares more about the dog than the carpet!
Little bugs have lesser bugs upon their backs to bite 'em. And lesser bugs have lesser bugs and so ad infinitum!

What a lame excuse - I still have problems with Belle aged 10 who I took when she was 2!  If I have a rug in the kitchen over winter she'll occasionally have pee-ed on it by the time I get up - but not in summer when it's not in the kitchen, or if I get up at a reasonable time instead of being b--y lazy!  It's MY fault, NOT hers!  :innocent:
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age
