Is anyone going to Melton Mowbray?  We've not been before, and it's quite a long way, but Mr F is going to go.

I see there's a hog roast - anyone tried that before and what's it like?
What's parking like?
What are the handling facilities like?
Is there a huge queue to pay for your purchases?
Is there a huge queue to load your purchases?
Any good points versus any negatives?
Is there plenty of space inside the mart, or is it a horrible squash like York?

plenty of room at the market for loading unloading, undercover so weather no problem, always a queue for paying as so many buyers. They did hogroast last year served indoors as combined with get together usually music/dance.

Thank you harepits.  Mr F can be prepared to stand in a queue then.  That's a time I use a spindle  :spin:, or have a small knitting  :knit: project on a circular needle, but Husband doesn't knit or spin.  Guess he'll just have to gossip - he's very good at that  :roflanim:

Isn't anyone else going?  I'm quite surprised.  :sheep: :cow: :chook: :pig: :goat: :llama: :&> :horse:

Mr F set off half an hour ago - it will be quite a long journey for him.   He looked at the idea of the hog roast, but as soon as he saw the word 'disco' he knew it's not for him  :roflanim:

I expect him home very late tomorrow night, hopefully with a couple of new sheep for me  :sheep: :sheep: :sheep:
I wish I could go but someone has to stay here for the stock........
