What are the streaks/spots of blood in the odd egg??
« on: July 16, 2014, 05:54:56 pm »
Someone that bought some eggs of me for eating was concerned about a couple of eggs with blood spots in them. Is this anything to worry about?
Thanks

No, I don't think so. Mine have them occasionally.

Just a tiny bit of blood released along with the yolk ..... can't remember the exact biology of it  :dunce: ;D

It's natural- the only reason you don't find them in shop bought eggs is because they are candled and discarded if not clear.
