SS&G Festival, 27th September, Lanark Agricultural Centre
« on: July 15, 2014, 11:57:07 am »
The third Festival will be held on Saturday 27th September at Lanark Agricultural Centre.

We're delighted to have a new and very special addition to our livestock show - the RBST Scottish Youngstock Championship - animals born in 2014 (or goats 12 months old or less at the date of the Festiival) that are registered or eligible for registration and are from breeds that are, or have been, on the RBST Watchlist. RBST will also be supporting classes for older stock in these categories.

The champion sheep, goat, calf and pig will go head to head (though not literally) to compete for the overall Championship, which will be judged by Peter Titley, President of RBST.

The new Festival website will be live soon, with more information, schedules and entry forms so we hope that you'll be joining us in September.

I'll be there. Let me know if i can do anything to help beforehand - will probably be helping to man the Central Scotland Smallholders stand on the day.

Sorry folks, I will be going to Masham Sheep Fair this year.  You were supposed to be doing Lanark / North / Lanark / North, and be North this year so I wouldn't feel guilty!   But I've always wanted to do Masham and never have made it yet, so this is the year.

Y'all have a wunnerful time, y'hear

I've got as TAS badge - I'm going to wear it - and maybe put a sticky label on my jacket with my TAS name

Good idea! Maybe we could make a wee TAS meet point beside the CSSA stand?

:'( Saturday again. Was bad enough I couldn't go to Thainstone, which is so near by...

Sorry - both venues have car boot sales on Sunday so aren't available to hire.

We'll miss you  :'( Yeah, the North was the Gathering in May - but it didn't quite work, so Lanark in September it is. Every year  ;D

I have just bought my TAS badge, so you will know I am TAS forum member. ;D  You will know I am the wannabee as I'll be walking around looking clueless and be 'amazed' at everything.  Fingers crossed we can make it  :excited:
