I had a real aversion to Christmas time, for when my kids had to change schools the new head was soooo into it that it came out of my ears. As everything shuts down in this part of the world, we agreed on having nice food and go to Solstice parties, exchange a few presents, because it is winter and we all need comfort

. My girls are easy these days, they only want money, mobile phones, vouchers, clothes, dvds, gameboy games, new consoles, in that order! I'll throw a few books in, not sure if I can afford any of the other stuff ( I can see

), I don't care!)
For myself, I just asked for a book (Andrea Camilleri's Sicilian Kitchen, I've only read his thrillers so far and that inspector is eating mouthwatering stuff all the time!) and from the kids I'd be happy with a cinema ticket for us all and a voucher for "I do anything you want for a day, week, month"
