Hi Ruth,  we walked past it, I wanted to go in, but thought it would be a nightmare getting them out again empty handed!  They went into the Croc shop and as we were leaving I caught Oliver grabbing a handful of jibbets to put in his pocket!

My eldest had a microscope and a globe, now shes a Scientist in Australia the middle daughter loved her cabbage patch dolls and horse or animal toys and now has a cabbage patch and few babies and animals herself and is on this forum   and the youngest liked her dressing up stuff , music and Nurse kit, she did performing arts and media, used to do some performing and singing and is a support worker at a day center  Tara may turn out to be a botanist, or biologist or maybe a farmer

Sandy its lovely to hear how your four have developed, I have four girls too and I have just been thinking the same sorts of things about how they showed their interests really early on.

How true, they are born with a lot of their charactor and, oh, I only have 3 girls, Tara belongs to Snoopy (Julie).
 As my girls got older they all had obviously differing tastes, Girls adventure books, sciency stuff, sports wear, bright coloured clothing and aromatherapy things for my eldest . Sophisticated mostly grey, white or black clothing, arty things, nicely drawn books, (love Black Beauty) pictures or animals, Sylvania families, designer toiletries etc and my youngest, Latest trends in clothing, makeup and toiletries. Jewelry,anything with  music or theatre in it, books and glamorous jewelry, me....I like a mix of things, very Indian and Moroccan tastes in Nick nacs and furnishings and I wear anything comfy and it now tends to be Black or Brown!!!!! Although I would love to dress in rich colours and opulant jewels but not suitable for mucking out chickens....thats where I am off now as the sun is out!!!!!! Wounder if Bella has given birth?

When i was younger i had a minature greenhouse with 'floating frogs and toads' saucers which you place seeds on to it and grow things, i also got plant pots and soil to pput the plants onced they where grown in to seedlings.

I also loved doing things (still do) like make it kits. Hobby craft normal have big ranges of them for around £10.00 plus

I love on line shopping...I go brain dead in the big shops dddaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! I usually have a budget and sit with a drink and a nice big fire of check things out with my partner and just get buying.....I then have loads of time to just window shop, go to get trivial stuff and little extras!!!! The power of tinternet!!

I had a real aversion to Christmas time, for when my kids had to change schools the new head was soooo into it that it came out of my ears. As everything shuts down in this part of the world, we agreed on having nice food and go to Solstice parties, exchange a few presents, because it is winter  and we all need comfort  . My girls are easy these days, they only want money, mobile phones, vouchers, clothes, dvds, gameboy games, new consoles, in that order!  I'll throw a few books in, not sure if I can afford any of the other stuff ( I can see ), I don't care!)
For myself, I just asked for a book (Andrea Camilleri's Sicilian Kitchen, I've only read his thrillers so far and that inspector is eating mouthwatering stuff all the time!) and from the kids I'd be happy with a cinema ticket for us all and a voucher for "I do anything you want for a day, week, month"

I haven't done Christmas shopping in shops since I was a teenager.  Always used mail order catalogues and then the internet.  I get far less bamboozled if I can do it slowly in my own time.

Can do that, although I shall be buying most on line, just bits of decorations etc and wrapping paper...BUT a nice refreshment break would be great too....Look forward to it.....
