Hello from water logged South Wales
« on: February 01, 2014, 05:56:29 pm »
Hi all, I am in the process of buying just over half an acre of land that has stables and a barn on it. I keep bees and am hoping to move them onto the land. I'm sure I will have lots of questions for you all regarding what to do about drainage, reeds and so on. There are a number of trees on it as well. I am a tree surgeon by trade but the trees will definitely be staying.

Hi  from waterlogged Dorset!  I used to keep bees until I became allergic - still miss them.  Good luck with your purchase :fc: .

 from Carmarthenshire .... where are you?
Linda

Don't wrestle with pigs, they will love it and you will just get all muddy.

Let go of who you are and become who you are meant to be.

I am from Maesteg in South Wales. I have 15 colonies of bees at the moment but will be expanding this season.

Hello and welcome from Carmarthenshire!

We hope to take up bee keeping this year, the masses of Himalayan balsam by the river can at least be useful then. Let's hope things dry up at least a bit, it can only help!!

Hi and welcome from a very wet and windy Carmarthen  :gloomy: :raining:

Husband would like bees but I'm allergic to bites/stings.
