crikey, when you all hatching them? my rumpless araucana and Scots Greys pullets (all late hatched at beginning/middle of June) have all come into lay in the last week or so-and the rumpless are the latest starters I've come across as yet.

My Marans started Boxing Day after a mid-May hatch and we'll have more daylight down here than you have up North so it doesn't surprise me if yours are later starting. No help with the original question though - sorry!

Any chance of a hen chick from one of them so I can have brown eggs?  The boys we hatched are still around aren't they?

How many girls did you get - are they  black copper or english maran coloured  - i have both in cockerels?
i guess i was just unlucky:0(
Happy to assist either way ( i know you have an issue with cockerels staying for 2 long) - we are about 20 mins up the road from you , the legbars are looking good 2
cheers BL

I have 2 girls both plain black from

i know roughly where you are and if the girls start laying soon will be in touch to arrange a holiday for the girls or one of your boys at some point.

Assuming payment for service would be in eggs :-)
