Hi every one,

We are very small scale small holders in Worcester we have two calves four cheep four pigs and a few chickens and ducks and three acres of land. We started twelve months ago and really have the bug. We desperately want to learn as much as we can before we take into a larger scale, so any advise would be most welcome.

Welcome from a surprisingly calm and mild Somerset. :)
Most of us started from small beginnings and learnt from the wise people on this website. It is remarkable what can be achieved! :sunshine:

Hi and welcome.
If you have achieved that much in one year then you must have applied a lot of knowledge and hard work. Look forward to gearing how things go ( especially keeping pigs over winter and their processing),

We're in the next County to the west and you're welcome to come and take a look at our set up.  We also do stuff that some smallholders find useful, like ram and boar hire for folks who don't want the bother of boys around all year.

Hi Jimmy,

I'm new to this site, am also from Worcester, would live to hear more from you about your smallholding. Am desperate to have my own s.h, currently work in a office job and would love to get out n start my own business.

Would love to hear from you about any advice, pitfalls, good things that you've had. Is it just a 'Pie in the Sky' dream or can it be made reality?!

Any help from anyone great fully received!

Jennie
