I heard that Isla St Clair married Barry White shortly before he died, and was Isla White.

When she married Bryan Ferry she kept Barry's surname as a mark of respect, and is now Isla White Ferry.  :D

She should have kept her maiden name too - then she would be 'Isla the White St Clair ferry' - it was on of the P & O North boats - St Magnus(Saggy Maggy with the Baggy belly), St Olaf (the Viking), can't remember the fourth one.
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

I met a guy once called Eanus Mc ***** ( surname deleted to protect the embarrased!). His first name is pronunced anus. When I asked him about it, he said 'but there's 15 of us on Achill (Island)'. Such a nice guy, such a terrible name!

When I was pregnant with Tara my mum asked me what I would call the
baby if it was a boy.

I said Ben - cause its manly, but also nice for a little boy too.

Mum said You can't call him BEN DELANEY (bendy laney!)

 ;D

Mary Christmas was married to Frank Christmas, and they had a red triumph Stag and got pulled up for speeding

the cop said whats your name, F. Christmas said frank, oh yeah and have you been drinking, no said frank, he turned to the passenger and said - whats your name.

Mary Christmas said mary  - yeah and merry christmas to you too, said the cop, I'm Rudolph and youre both booked.

True story - real names ,real car, embarassed cop apologised in the paper.

When I worked in England in the 80's most of the people in London and Slough and Uxbridge that I worked with had double barrelled names - they thought they were posh.

So I thought about changing my name by deed poll to Julie Teddy-Bear just to make a laugh of it
but chickened out in the end  ;D

When I was expecting Lorna, my married name was Ness. I wanted to call her Philippa or Pippa but she would have been P Ness. My brother in law was Andrew, so A Ness.
