Flippin heck
« on: September 23, 2013, 05:40:52 am »
As you can see I get up early, usually between 4 & 4.30, I use this time to research internet have breakfast then shoot rabbits until chickens come out, but the last couple of mornings it's pitch black.
So it be 5.30am now and I'm still sat here, I could have had another hour.
I'm attempting to put 50 rabbits in the freezer either for the dog or wife, trouble is they keep eating them.
research this morning, making an apple crusher, fox traps prevention better than cure, all our neighbours have lost their hens, and more knowledge on barley sprouting.
I need a hobby :knit: oh yes I've got one  :farmer: :roflanim:

I suppose we'd better get used to it... Worst is, I'll be off to catch the first bus soon, and it'll be more or less dark again when I get home tonight. And it's only September!

It's always a rush in the morning to get out and let all the birds out. 36 pens/coops of various ages that are waiting to get to the area of the farm they hold as thier territory.

Delay would mean fretfull birds, so I always eat my Alpen the night before just before I go to bed.
Lovely morning here today and after I have sent the dogs out to deter any lurking foxes the birds are released.

I don't mind the early starts.
Traditional Utility Breed Hatching Eggs sent next day delivery. Pure bred Llyen Sheep.

I hate early starts, been getting up at 6.30am and that's early enough  but on the other hand, I look worse is I sleep in past 8.00am!!
AndyJ, you must have to skin and gut the rabbits before you chuck um in the freezer........I am not sure I could eat them too often but good cheap meat and a great hobby. I would love to go shooting but not fit enough to plough through undergrowth and marshes ::)

I get up at 4.57am.... I have timed my mad dash to feed animals, let dogs and cats out (and in and out and in and out), shower, drag brush through hair, dress, hunt for shoes hidden by dog, trip over old dog, hunt for phone and keys, grab coffee..... in order to leave for work by 5.25am to avoid the M25 rush hour!!

If I am in the office all week, I feel totally burnt out.

In fairness, I leave work at 4 (to avoid/minimise the evening rush hour) and am back home for about 6pm.... to do the mad dash of animal feeding etc before it gets dark  ;D  The interwebby doesn't get a look in!

No matter what time I go to bed, I tend to be awake before 4. Today I had the sunrise from the bus - and sunset as well. Both magnificent...

And now I'm so knackered that I think I'll leave the washing up for tomorrow morning, yet again!

I have to get up at 8 tomorrow so I'm off to bed now.  I'm not well just now, so am sleeping more.  I'm normally a 10am to 1am person.
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age
