Fresh horseradish Burgers?

Has anyone tried adding fresh horseradish to burgers and sausages? I like the idea of it but wonder whether the flavour would come through or just fade or become bitter

I've used horseradish in cooking (a stirfry) when I've wanted a kick but hadn't any chillies. It worked really well so I can't see why not. Sorry this answer's come so long after your posting!

No but horseradish and beetroot relish is fantastic in a beef burger. You can probabley buy a small jar from your local Polish shop to test before making some. We used to call it Krine but it may have other names.
