we would actually pay 80 for it.
the house at the back of us is for sale Mamhead house, with strut & parker £8m and the house next door for 565 no garden

Perhaps thats how he got to his asking price - what is £8,000,000 divided by 164  :roflanim:

Checked out mamhead house.........WOW

Who lives in a house like that?

Probably a Russian oligarch - they seem to be snapping up all the properties like that around here!

I expect your farmer will get 400,000 for the land from the new owner of the house?  Or that's what he's aiming towards....ridiculous.  Did you laugh?  (After you had picked yourself off the floor that is)

I'm so angry, I was telling someone about it today and I was shaking, we so want that land.
Mamhead is a snip at 8m as it was up for 11 and apparently they spent 4 on it.
We are happy with our 2 static caravans(£1500), log burner(£300), band A council tax(£900) and no mortgage (£0000) :excited:  :sunshine: a few acres, a little income, dog, 29 chooks and a barn with PP that'll do for now.

A colleague of mine paid well over the odds for a field because it squared off his land but he paid something like double, not 10 times the worth!

Shame land isn't that price, I'd be sitting on a goldmine!

Phew!!  Did he really think........surely not!!  Round here, around £8-£10,000 acrea, but small 2 acre paddocks going for £40,000 plus for horse owners. Now, we have 10 acres, with  what is considered one of the best views going - wonder if someone will give me such a good price :roflanim: :roflanim:
