We went to pick our goats up today from the very kind lady who had looked after them while we were away. She and her OH got them loaded for us and asked how we would manage our end. I said we just had to. After all, I can now walk a few yards without sticks.
OH had Cloud as I thought she was more likely to pull. Unfortunately, they disappeared along the footpath before I had Pom out of the trailer so we followed much more quickly than my legs liked. As we got in the garden, she saw Cloud going in the shed so put on an extra spurt just at the moment that I caught my foot on an uneven bit of path. I ended up on my arthriticky knees and sprawled across a big stone mushroom (don't ask - previous owner was into garden gnomes

) with my arm nearly pulled out of its socket before I manage to let go of the lead. Pom went into the shed and OH got the bolts across before coming to lift me up. Needless to say, I could hardly move and we still had to get the trailer unhitched and put away before I drove back round to the front of the house.
I've not done much since except examine my bruises and get OH to rub Movelat (like Deepheat but not hot) into my muscles. Goats!
I'm glad they're home though and they love their newly extended shed.
