A sow is 'in pig' for 115 days approx, to know if it is in pig is by checking for continued signs of heat about every 3 weeks or you can use equipment designed for the task, although some of these need a few months before able to detect

The easiest way to tell early on in pregnancy is that they'll miss a season. 3 weeks after 'service' if you don't see a puffy vulva or any sign of the boar being interested in trying to mount her it's likely that she's in-pig. Later in the pregnancy you can see a diagonal line running down their sides.
Pigs come into season every 3 weeks and are pregnant for 3 months, 3 weeks and 3 days (give or take a few days each side)

Your question leads me to believe YOU need to do some serious piggy homework, these are fundamental questions you should already have an idea of the answer before attempting to go into breeding.
Suggest you get a good book on subject or check out pig management articles on the GOS website which may help you.
:fc:  your sow is in pig and good luck, her life and that of her piglets are in your hands and it is a serious responsibility so BE PREPARED.
All the best

we just starting yes have read abit but somethings counterract one another online, we also have excellent vets who always popping in and out, also a couple of local pig farmers around us, so have alot of help we only just got them so not used to them fully yet although boar seems quite timid compared to sow who loves to be scratched. will just have to keep a close eye see if their temperment changes then ihad a feeling that they carry around 4 months so wasnt far off.
