Sorry cant actually help with ark but my son made one for less than £200 using corrugated tin from Glendale Engineering in Wooler.

Forget that it was a feeder! Might be worth looking through the posts though as there have been some up for grabs. You can buy the tin and make one fairly cheap. We recycled some wood, 2 sheets of ply and bobs your uncle. Made it for about £150.

There is a sale on at Hexham on Saturday and I am sure there is some pig arks sitting in the field already
Probably be going down tomorrow or friday to see what there is  so can check

There is  pig arks down on the field ready for the sale tomorrow .there some in great condition some definatly seen better days  ::)

We would have liked a 'proper' arc but could not afford it, so we now have a bomb-proof pig house made from old pallets (7 for a big house), a few wooden stakes, scrap wood for rafters, salvaged wriggly tin and thick plastic sheeting.  I can post a picture if you fancy using the design.

How many pigs is it for? and for growing on or breeding?


if not many for growing, triangular arc with ply works well.... see Emma's Pigs site for ideas


made our from recycled ply, but would not cost much even if you had to buy three sheets.
