Its not really my sort of thing, watching these people trying to be funny and not always successful, but I did watch it as OH like it. Although I didn't find what they were saying distasteful I wasn't very enamoured with the fact that they were drunk.
It sets a bad example.

I didn't watch, but I find the fact that we still have an oligarchy a national shame and mockety of it/them is entirely justified.

I like him and find him funny, did not hear that bit of the show, must have been on here :innocent:

funny thing is, I do find Jeremy Clarkson obnoxious but that's just me as I know loads of people love him , humour is  as individual as, what you like to eat, Marmite. For example, who you fancy, Daniel Craige, and what you drive, beaten up Kangoo etc etc.....

I roared with laughter (alone at home), and although a bit near the knuckle at times it didnt offend me in the slightest. Mind you, I am  Jack Whitehall fan. I just have to look at him to laugh! Usually its Jimmy Carr who is more offensive than anyone.

We went to see Jimmy Carr live. We don't watch TV much so I didn't really know who he was. Oh, my  :censored: He was fine until 9pm then after the watershed - it was pretty non-PC but really funny. I felt I shouldn't be laughing but was.

Never heard of this guy.

I remember a lot of the old more traditional comedians filled their shows with smutty very non PC jokes that like you Rosemary, I just had to laugh at but knew they were oh so wrong...its the fact we know its wrong but we often have the same thoughts but correct ourself.......
Interesting psychology really.....I am so anti oppression in any way shape or form but laugh until my eyes water at non PC jokes, :roflanim: Yet Joe Blogs saying negative non PC stuff I would certainly challenge!!
I find Jack Whitehall very funny and I think he will be around for a long while, loved Fresh Meat......very very clever in my opinion.

is there a Joe Blogs on this forum?

I think there is more harm in the gratuitous violence in films and the incessant sexualisation of young children on TV and advertising than a few comedians being 'offensive'. Being offended is a choice by the viewer/listener.  Freedom to be offensive is a key part of freedom, as it is a subjective opinion and personally I would rather be offended than not have freedom of speech (excluding inciting violence etc).

Getting 'over' jokes made about you is primary school stuff.

Have not seen the show - and dont intend too - but the jokes on anyone who cant take a joke.

Whats the point in running a TV channel or event if everyone involved has to conform to the opinions of those in charge of the show?  Surely they should just sit in the backroom, cash the cheques and watch the masters at work.?
