Not sure what you would get ducks . To get the same bulb variety you have to plant a clove .
So although the seed will no doubt grow something , it may not be anything like the parent plant .
You may get a bulb that is perfect for what you want , and you could then grow more of that particular bulb by planting the cloves as normal .
If you have the space and the seeds prove viable , it may be worth a go !
I would treat the seed like onion seed . Sow from now through till early spring .
