Treated all my sheep in june with crovect to prevent fly strike (being southdowns they are prone). It should give up to 8 weeks protection, but that time is nearly up. Im ready to re-dose again. Just wondered what peoples thoughts were about treating the lambs again, do you think its better for them to not do it and just keep a close eye, or not take the risk and just spray them all again? Thanks all

We reapply every six weeks. If you do the whole flock now that will take you to the end of September, by which time, depending on where you live, the danger of fly strike will be about over until next year.
Lambs are more susceptible to being struck than adult sheep, so why wouldn't you treat them? Or are they going for slaughter?

the only reason I wouldn't re-apply crovect is if they are about to go 'on holiday' these will be seperated from the others so there is no chance of contamination
