Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Well my email mission last night went noticed and I got a visit from the officer in charge.

However further info makes it sound like this is alot bigger than me and Bella. Livestock are transported between a site in Dartford and Harlow. They have a board with hundreds of animals listed for sale (all stolen) and it is run by someone who is legally NOT allowed anywhere near animals.

A recent policeman got tasered on the site and if they know you are causing trouble the King comes round with a shotgun!
Waiting for a call tonight from police but think of pulling out completely  :-[

I know it makes it harder for the next person, but to be honest I'm now a bit scared and willing just to buy another goat and set up video security  :-[

well i have no faith in the police     and just had to look and see where you are located because i thought it was Sicily        yannies with tazzers     king yannies running round with shotguns    and a list of stolen animals for sale    and to cap it all the seller is barred from keeping livestock
 
the police don't usually tell you anything  unless he is telling you this so you will but out
 
 
sounds like a family in a village not that far from here   a single police man called at there house and was invited in to get the crap beaten out of him  he never done another shift for the police again
 
a sad state of affairs where they do as they please without any intervention :farmer:

Which means it should be easy to get evidence of their movements from the Dartford toll cameras ;) Warescot, I lived near Nth Weald for nearly 50 years and, through my work, know their skullduggery well >:( >:( .  Every now and then there is a clamp down but it is rarely reported. As you say, beef up your security and stay safe.  And that particular lot are not worried by dogs.  I am so sorry about Bella :bouquet:

Seems to me that you'd be better keeping records of what the Police have said to make a formal complaint at a later stage if necessary and in the meantime contact your local MP and press (asking for your name to be witheld if necessary) to put the pressure on the Police.

It's official, BELLA IS HOME!!

The travellers sold it to a man with a small holding up the road, he saw our article in the local gazette and called the police!  :excited: :excited:

I am so, so pleased for you .....I can only imagine how I would feel had it happened to me.  I am sure Bella is happy to be back where she belongs.
