So sorry about Bella - do hope you find her safe and well.
I am not defending travellers, but ....we have some rogues round here who are not travellers, and are quite capable of taking hens, goats etc. so its not always travellers.  Having said that, no one should think they have a right to help themselves to peoples much loved animals.
Have you a local livestock market?  May be worth putting up a poster there, as obviously animal minded people will visit a market, and also mention it in the market office, so if a pygmy goat is brought in to sell, they can alert you.  Just a thought, as I know they do it when horses go missing.
Also, contact animal rescue centres in your area, just in case someone has taken Bella, then realised after a day or two that you are looking for her, and dumped her in a field or something, and she has ended up at an animal centre.
A notice on the board in your local vets is also another good idea .....may jog peoples memories if they suddenly notice a new goat in their neighbourhood.

Yes, its surprising when a reward is mentioned that people can suddenly find the missing animal/item.

Given that these people may well be back for your pony I would try and reduce the accessibilty of your garden/field - a sign saying that security cameras are in operation (even if they aren't, but tell everyone who asks that there really are some!), padlock the gates (which won't necessarily deter thieves, but will make it slower/more difficult etc for someone to gain access), also a sign that guard dog is on the premises.) It is most likely that your little goat was stolen to order, had her ear tags removed, and they knew what to come for.

Also tatto-ing ears in the future may well be helpful, at least if trying to find her.

What about contacting Animal health at your local trading standards? they might have heard of previous and have advice.

your local council and any nearby surrounding councils as when animals are dumped on verges, community gardens etc its them that have to deal with it. i know someone dumped 15 horses in bridgend on a peice of waste land and it was the council who had to organise getting them rounded up and moved to rescues etc.... longshot but worth a try  :fc:

This makes me cry just reading it.  I can't even begin to imagine how you must be feeling. I think you mentioned that you have a page for her on Facebook - what is it under, as then I can share it.  I am down in Devon, so will raise awareness down here too, just in case they are trying to sell her somewhere else.

Do you have any horse fairs coming up locally?

When we go to Stow, there's always all sorts of animals, birds and livestock for sale.
