I'm afraid I spend far too much time (not that too much time is possible!!)  with my pigs and Ellen was my very first breeding girl, so we know each other very well and she has a 'come and give me a cuddle' face    :pig:

Well done on all the guesses everyone

Love tamworth eyes too - nippy sweeties we used to call them, small and thoughtful, sizing you up.

Oh, they are very, very sweet, aren't they?!
Lovely pic, thank you  :)

My pigs also let me know when they want attention - sometimes stroking, sometimes scratching, sometimes a shower from the hosepipe.  There's a whole repertoire of noises and movements and positions they use to indicate what they want.  Watching Lady p with ehr piglets, I realise that the piggy language is very much just that - they communicate with each other through sound and expression and intonation.  So, why not with us, too...

Ellen has mastitis  :-[   Called the vet yesterday morning.

She's on antibiotics, anti inflammatory and I'm cooling her with cold compresses and using aloe on there too.

The piglets seem to be feeding OK, I had to top them up a bit yesterday afternoon, but Ellen is doing a bit better today.  Although still very lethargic.

Can anyone think of anything else I could/should be doing to help her?

The vets popping in again this evening to check on her.
