Ryeland ewes
« on: June 25, 2012, 08:02:58 pm »
I am looking to expand my flock and would like some ewes to put to the ram this autumn. I would consider having lambs and waiting until next year. I am on the Cheshire Derbyshire border. Yes I know about the Ryeland society and am a member but would prefer to buy from other smallholders. Please PM me if you have any for sale either now or later in the year. Thanks
Karen

Most of the people selling at the sales are smallholders  ;) . Do you mean that you prefer to buy off farm?
The sale at Ludlow is well worth a trip even if you buy elsewhere.

Friends of ours bought their Ryelands from someone down towards Ashbourne. If that's not too far I could get details for you?

Also, I'm guessing there may be Ryelands at the Show & Sale at Chelford in September.
