I'm a Kitchen Aid fan, much prefer it to the Kenwood Chef I used to have. It seems to whisk better IMO.

I have a kitchenaid     and have had a kenwood     had the kitchenaid about 9 yrs now    its a fantastic bit of kit
 
I also have a magimix      it gets uesd for different things

V Jelous - love the look of Kitchen aid... But I have a Kenwood, probably because my mother had a Kenwood  (40 years old and still going strong)  .  It IS fab, but not pretty . 
I can vouch for KA customer service though - I bought one of their Molten cast iron pans from TK MAx (in the days when I was near such shops!).  The enamel exploded off the bottom after a couple of cooks, I couldnt find my reciept and they still replaced it.   V Happy. Now I have a knackered one which I use outside on open fires and a tidy one for the stove.

Have very fond memories of my mum's one, when we used to make lots of different shapes of pasta on Sundays.

The price on the UK website is ridiculous (£263), but I found on ama zon is about £50 cheaper and on the Italian is even better at ~£140!
That's the way to go

Wow, that looks good but think that maybe I am too lazy to use one.
I do have a pasta making machine though (the sort that you roll the dough through several times) I got it on freecycle so can't complain but have only used it a couple of times.

I have the Kenwood chef.  I like having a lid on the mixer bowl because I 'scite' things all over the place.  Does the Kitchenaid bowl have a lid?

Mine came with a sort of plastic thing that fits round the rim. Not exactly a lid in the usual meaning of the word but I guess thats what it is. It certainly stops flour and stuff from going all over the place.
