Lovely, love calves when they are all wobbly and new.
Wish OH would let me have a moo or two but he is adamant my pigs are enuff trouble!

The homemade cheesecake and butter has done it for mine, that and the fact that a Jersey can find her way into any mere mortal man's heart...  ;) :love: :cow:

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Thanks Sylvia!  My ma is indeed honoured, she says (after she managed to stop ooooo-ing and aaaahhhhh-ing, that is), so Katy she is. :)

I once had a calf named after me and was told I should view it as a great honour.
I'm pleased your Mum feels the same way.
Jersey's are such a beautiful breed as Katy & her proud Mum have proven.
