It's the truth; all herds need a Buttercup! Sadly we already have ours - an Angus cross, as it happens.
Half-sister is Plenty - BH said, "Two's plenty", so Plenty I called her. Now he seems happy for me to have another ... and another ... :D So if two is Plenty, three is a herd, I should call her Thora, maybe! :D (And would do, but I'm not so keen on that name.)

Dandelion
other than that wow cute calf

I'm trying to think of a pun on Jersey - all I can come up with is woolly jumper = Sheep...a cow called Sheep...mmm ::) I did have a fish called Rover.
How about Rozel from Rozel Bay on Jersey?
-
how about some jersey cattle society herd books there bound to be some good names in there

rosebud
beauty :farmer:

I like Rosebud. But for another time... At the moment, we have a calf named Rosie (Primrose), a pony Rosabel (not her day-to-day name, though) and a Rosie sheep too. Enough Roses for a while!
I've asked my mum if she'd think it weird or objectionable or nice to have a calf named after her. If she replies other than the last, I'll be back asking for more suggestions!

Lovely calf - congratulations! You'l need a milking parlour soon lol
-
Oh congratulations, so beautiful and so pleased she can stay with you :)
-
Lovely, love calves when they are all wobbly and new.

The homemade cheesecake and butter has done it for mine, that and the fact that a Jersey can find her way into any mere mortal man's heart... ;) :cow:

Thanks Sylvia! My ma is indeed honoured, she says (after she managed to stop ooooo-ing and aaaahhhhh-ing, that is), so Katy she is. :)

Sally she is lovely, congrats to you and mammy

I once had a calf named after me and was told I should view it as a great honour.
I'm pleased your Mum feels the same way.
Jersey's are such a beautiful breed as Katy & her proud Mum have proven.
Enjoy this special time ;D
