Foal born last night
« on: March 20, 2012, 11:01:47 am »
I haven't bred my Highland ponies for 3 years so it was a particularly special night, if a rather long one as the filly required a little assistance with the milk bar and I ended up milking the mare into a syringe a few times to be sure of the colostrum getting in in time.  But anyway, all is now well in that department and tho I'm majorly sleep deprived I am happy to have a healthy live foal around after such a long break.

No name yet, but here she is :)

Ooh!  I'm due a visit and that is the best reason yet - end of week maybe?  Let me know.
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

Thanks all.

Annie can you leave it til after the weekend as I'm doing my final exams for the massage diploma Sat/Sun and only have 2 days study time left after 1 colic, 1 overnight job and 1 foaling, all contributing to major sleep deprivation and lack of mental focus on anatomy and physiology  :-\
