I bought a bag from Sainsburys, find them very tasty. If I chuck a few in the ground*, will I get more tasty spuds?
Possibly a silly question, but I know things like squashes can be F1 hybrids therefore your "home sown" is a muddled mix of the parent varieties.....
*Um, I mean chit on the appropriate biodynamic day and lovingly transplant and nurture etc etc
