I bought a bag from Sainsburys, find them very tasty. If I chuck a few in the ground*, will I get more tasty spuds?

Possibly a silly question, but I know things like squashes can be F1 hybrids therefore your "home sown" is a muddled mix of the parent varieties.....

I think because potatoes are tubers you'll be OK.

We grew them last year and they were lovely. Don't know if we've got them this year though.

You are not supposed to because of the risk of importing diseases into your area, but just about everyone does it    Seed potatoes are grown in areas with a low incidence of disease, and have to be certified as disease free
