chicken run
« on: March 09, 2009, 10:27:40 am »
Hello all!

I have made a 3m run to attach to the front of the coop, for during the day when we are out of the house. When we are there they will have the run of the garden.

Its all meshed, with a side and top door. Should I mesh the the bottom as well so its fully enclosed? Will this cause damage to the feet etc? If so would the same 25mm mesh I have used for the sides and top work or 50mm

Thanks!!!!!

There is not need to mesh the bottom.  They like to peck and scratch around and dust bath of course (unless you provide a tray of sand or something), and since they do not dig out, there is no point.

I agree with Kate, no need tomesh the floor. It will make it easier to move when needed.
