Somebody in the next hamlet threw a big fireworks bash last saturday and no warning at all, my horse was ok after the first 5 minutes but the dogs and sheep weren't. It would be nice if people could warn others and at least we would have the chance of lessening the panic. I noticed that my neighbour has quite a large pile of rubbish in his top small paddock which is right next to the field the horse is in, as yet they have said nothing about lighting it but I will be upset if he lights it this weekend without warning as he knows the animals are there.
I have got all the calm tablets ready for the dogs (herbal of course) which normally helps at this time of year and cleared a spot under the bed for the old dog where he likes to hide on bonfire night and thunder storms.
The pigs have been brought in for the bad weather so extra straw and they should be fine (I hope)
