Can someone please tell me how to highlight a section from someone's post in order to refer to it?

Hi Lesley

I seem to have answered a different question, so please could you explain a bit more what it is you are wanting help with?

Sorry to be so dense...  :P

When there have ben lots of replies to a post and someone wants to refer to one particular reply, they seem to cut and paste it and highlight it in a box then add their bit underneath.  That's what I can't work out.
