Yes that's the big green bit I mean - seems a waste of a useful space.

And I see that all your 'w's are complete Annie.  Mine are still lacking their middles.  My OH has seen the same thing on another site too, a biking one, so maybe it's either our computer or .....what?  I will one day take time to send a screen drop to show Dan - too complicated just now.

Yes, that's what I get too.  But my stars are square.(screen drop attached) And I get the message about another post having been made.

Annie, from that screen shot it looks like you're still seeing the old stylesheet, please clear your cache or do a hard refresh of your browser (Ctrl + F5 on most Windows browsers).

Aye, we've all got square stars now - apart from Juliet, who has starry stars but incomplete 'w's!

what are 'w' s?

Errmmm.... the letter that's between vee and ex in the alphabet, between Q and E on the keyboard.

As I understand it, Fleecewife will see her own name as something like "Fleece||ife" at the moment - but it sounds as though the problem is at her end.

Juliet, have you tried changing the font?  If you can't do it on the complete page, you could change the font in a post that you make yourself.  Just to see if it makes a difference.

Actually, I could do that for you.  Here's a selection!

Thank you Sally - every single alternative font you wrote for me (well, apart from THAT one  ;D)  has perfect dubyas, double ewes, double youse (for Scottish ones), double u's etc.  The only one with the holey-middle ones is the one which comes automatically.  So can I change the settings somehow so everything comes through in, perhaps, the first one you wrote? I like that one. Or is it something Dan would have to do and it would then be different for everyone?  Sorry to be so  :dunce: but how do I empty my cache?  In fact, what is my cache?  It obviously worked for you Annie so I suppose I should do it, but I like my stars being star shaped  ::) and I would lose that  :o.

Hey!  Dan's got RED stars squares!

But he hasn't got as many as Annie Doganjo  ;D ;D

My OH has been fiddling around with fonts etc and now I have fully formed 'w's and a type size I can read without squinting  ::)  Thank you for working that one out Sally  :bouquet:

Now to deal with the big green bit (which is even bigger now)  next time he is available.....

Aha - that worked and the whole thing is now completely different - all neat and clear and no big green bit (in fact hardly any green at all) - and all the stars are still pointy  ;D ;D   Thank you Dan - now I'm seeing what everyone else is seeing, or at least I think I am  ???.  Thank you all for being patient with me   Now I'm off to bag up my tasty hoggetburgers and freeze some more.
