It's got a floating floor. The local hotel gave me 2sq.m of thick vinyl flooring which I've stapled to the inside. It' s flexible but remains a good barrier to damp, plus will be easy to clean.

Picking up the girls this weekend.

:D Eastling, is your husband prone to getting carried away, like mine?!
he built a huge two storey, pointy-roofed, fancy great wooden thing... when all I asked for was a simple guinea pig sized nesting hutch!!  he ran out of wood for the floors!

Wow, ambriel  (that would make a nice Lab puppy name) Maybe instead of "kids"  :goat:  you should build little homes for kids

Collected our two new ladies from Shiv and Ben today.

Got them home safe and sound and they're now ensconsed in their new palace with a bucket of water and a big bowl of barley, plus plenty of soft and comfy hay.

Will give them a tour of the ponderosa tomorrow, weather-permitting.

why not - its a great idea!
just be carefull what you use the water for - goats etc are better off with fresh water.
After losing loads of chicks & old hens, I found out my o/h had been filling up their drinkers from the water butts ... I'm sure they picked up something nasty from there...
