Wanted: hatching eggs for table birds
« on: May 11, 2011, 08:49:14 am »
As it says: I've got plenty of utility birds and layers but fancy something better for the table as we mainly eat left over cockerels at the moment. I've tried castlefarm but they don't return any messages so does anybody else here sell hatching eggs for table birds?

Hi there - My Marans are dual purpose reaching around 5-5.5 lbs dressed out weight in around 24-30 weeks

I am also making a selection of a strain of larger growing bird which lays very big speckled eggs, and grows to a somewhat larger size

Eggs are £1 each plus p&P  Check out my site for details of the birds  the marans are on www.darkbrowneggs.info and the speckled egg layers are on www.speckledeggs.co.uk

Hatch rates after posting seem generally good, but you are welcome to collect - I am on Worcestershire/Herefordshire borders

All the best

Greig and Sue,

Would you both be able to send a dozen eggs each on Monday so I could fill the incubator up in one go? Sue - would love Marans but happy to make up numbers with speckleds if you can't do a dozen Marans.

Thanks,

Ben
