hehe i was gona steal your bag but didn't fancy my chances lol,

Planted up some seed here too, some of the packets i picked up last night and i have sneck them in to the living room next to the fire (fires not on)
i think hubby is getting annoyed with them in house so he has promised to help me clear the greenhouse out and repair the windows etc .
We are also getting the kitchen clean out as we are to get a new kitchen on monday (well started anyway) for 10 days !!!!! help am gona go mad. So not really any room for seedling.

I i don't think i will be getting much chance to used the computer as i think the power will be off and no room in the hall for me to sit on computer if work men are coming in and out of the house, So i guess am gona be busy with knitting and no-electrical work.

If you want to plant up some seeds take them over here - plenty of room in the conservatory.

I think I might have noticed my bag disappearing! ;)

well, i finished building the dog run - destined to be the chicken run when i get them!!!

i'm putting down a boardwalk in the garden this weekend - so I can walk about without getting wet and muddy, essential when you are pushing a wheelbarrow about! - So i'm marking that out today

i've planted 36 chilli seeds - 9 different varieties

might pop along to the local nursery to see what fruit trees that have - think i'll need to plant new ones :-( Also need to get some blueberry/cranberry bushes for a bit of my garden that hangs onto a little more water than i'd want in there!

got an sort of empty greenhouse now and the brocken glass has been replace with wooden boards not brilliant but does the job (the holes tam plugs up with duck tape).
So hopefully tomorrow i can get some paraffin and thn i can get the heators going and see if i can get the temperature up in time for Monday, when Sunday and get the seedlng in it. Am also on the look out for a bigger greenhouse as mine is only 4 x 6 which doesn't give me much room with width or even high wise (being 5.8 not much head room). I want to raise the base up with bricks but that will have to wait for now.

i have just repaired my greenhouse. next doors trampoline gave us a visit in december.it is enormous and blew 40 yards up over a hedge and acros our garden. it glanced the grenhouse, luckily and also broke part of a chicken run and my veg garden fence. i was so glad it missed my car by 6 feet. i will be sorting ut the greenhouse inside on sunday planting seeds and starting the strawberries off in little pots ready to go out when there i no frost. i had enough spare glass from my cold frame to repair it so i will have to replacethat soon. i think i might ask a double glazing firm if they have any old windows that they would spare.

Today my kids and friends played on quad bikes and carts all day. Hubby and me did a bit of fencing and then started digging out a scrap of land beside the woods to park a car on. It was a very lovely day but I am knackered now, just waiting to do midnight sheep check, lambing is anytime now.
Enjoying life making the most of whats available. My kids were little yesterday, today they are almost adults, where on earth did that change happen?

What a beautiful day it is here! I have been out pulling out the dead plants out of the undergrowth, and have loaded into the van all the honeysuckle I have removed from the garage roof and am about to take it to the skip. Kitchen man is coming this afternoon, but hopefully I will get some digging done anyway, and plant some more new trees and plants.

I have been busy planting up some seeds this morning which have now taken over my bedroom window, yesterday my OH used the tractor to push my muck heap back and David brought me a couple of round bales of straw so two more jobs out of the way. My friend  May came with her clippers as Pitstop ( Shetland Pony ) who is on boxed rest was sweating up badly and I was worried he would end up with a chill. His coat was that thick that I had a bit of a struggle but got there in the end. Went to shut the hens in last night which was a bit later than normal and could not find the cockeral anywhere. Went in and my OH came out to help me search, we found him up a tree so had to leave him there all night. I was up early this morning to make sure he was safe, seems none the worse for his night out. its cold and very windy here so plan a lazy afternoon.  :chook:

Busy day today.  No1 son came yesterday and helped me put a raised bed together so today was spent digging sods of grass, and upturning them into the raised bed on top of the grass below. I'll leave it for a bit like that to sink down some, then put in compost ready for planting.  Also went round grass edges trying to neaten it up a bit for a few more shrubs to go in.  Planted deutsia and spirea, and transplanted some offshoot dog wood babies.  Will plant reclaimed bulbs from back garden tomorrow. No1 daughter arrived with grandchildren so we took a dog and went off round the Dam.  Started to get cold and windy about half way round so only stopped a short time to feed the swans

Only one raised bed - starting slowly ;) - only need enough veg for one after all!  ;)  Won't put tatties in there - either a big tub or tyres maybe - might pay a visit to David along the way.

David Manson - Garage at Kennet.  I only like it outdoors if I'm warm. Don't like cold, and/or wet, and/or snow ::)

After moving the ducks out, scrubbed the bathroom, then cleaned the windows, then cleaned down the stairs as the sawdust had got everywhere.  Can now have a bath without 13 rubber necking ducks who have now learned that human beings do not have feathers anywhere.

What a morning, in fact what a last couple of days, The field has dried up enough now to get 4x4 and horsebox on, so off I went yesterday and loaded horsebox up with straw, drove down across the field and unloaded the lot into the bottom barn. hard work on my own so stopped for hot chocolate in the polytunnel half way through. Felt guilty about the state of the ponies deep littered beds so mucked out one completely this morning. This is how I did it.
1. 3 wheelbarrows of muck taken from stable to muckheap and forked up
2. into polytunnel for hot chocolate, sowed some sweet peas.
3. 2 wheelbarrows taken from stable to muckheap.
4. back into polytunnel, sowed some tomatos.
5. gather eggs
6. 3 wheelbarrows of muck taken from stable to muckheap.
7. into polytunnel sowed more seeds
and on and on and on
Pottering I agree but it made a horrible job not so bad at all!!!!!!!
