Excellent John, or should that be eggcellent (it is nearly Easter after all  ;D)
We'll keep you up to date with developments  ;)

Thanks so much - I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again. I completely understand that it's a lot to ask as everyone has their own commitments and it says a lot about what nice folks you are that you are prepared to take some time away from these to help someone else out - so from the bottom of my heart, it's a HUGE thank you to everyone who's getting involved.
Looking forward to seeing some new faces and meeting everyone over the course of the weekend.
Much love,
Karen

I would think, providing it's on a lead and 'under control' it would be okay - but it might be worth phoning just to double check  ;)
Phone number is 01236 720047, can you let me know what they say ? I might take Boris down for a visit and scare some children :D  ;D ;D ;D

Hi all  - I'm back - still wobbly but here  :D Can't look at the screen for long yet.

Lynne  - it's great you can come - look forward to it, as it will be me there as well.  For dogs, you can't take them into the area where the animals are close-penned ie near the visitor centre, and elsewhere obviously they have to be on a lead.  I will be leaving the terrors at home (they ran away on Sunday and Lucy came back that night with an injured leg, but Rippy stayed out all night...eventually came back soaked and smelly)

HH and I will now get on with the final planning ..... actually I think just having people there being chatty will be mostly what we need.

Thank you all SOOO much for your support  :) :) :)

Just remember it is warm now.  Don't leave him in the car if you have to bring him with you.  If you have no option then he is best left at home - separated from your bitch obviously - if you aren't there you won't hear the yowling ;) ;D

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to come now, with my daughter moving home tomorrow and a dog show at the weekend with no dogs ready yet.

No - but the neighbours will Annie  ::)

Hope all goes well for you at the show  :hshoe: are you going to SKC? - both the boys are entered, but the young one is losing weight something awful over this season - just realised he's a boy, but not got the sense to know she's gone-over  ::) he's been keeping us awake all night for the last 2 weeks asking to be "let-out" (asif  ;)) every half an hour  ???

Yup, will be at SKC.  Gundog day.
Dogs and bitches? Been there got the T shirt - I had mother and son outside, son desperate to get to mother, mother desperate to get to husband, who was inside, desperate to get to either wife or auntie, who had the longest season known to man or dog.  Total chaos for nigh on 6 weeks. Thank goodness for lockable cages and doors - Allez can open anything, even a tin can if I gave him one, and Bobby has decided via his hormones that Allez is 'persona non grata' and would happily kill him if given the chance.  He will be sold to the highest bidder once I've got his work training to a standard I'm happy with.

Hi Annie  - sorry you won't be able to come.  Unless....what about Monday?  But I do understand that other things have to take priority.  I think we may just about be able to cover all four days, even if there is only one person between the two tables sometimes.

Annie - I think I'd better get on with the hip-scoring  :D will make sure we get over to the Brittany benches at some point during SKC so we can finally meet-up face 2 face (& fur 2 fur  ;) )

Juliet - is there a good time to give you a 'phone today?

Is anyone else coming on Friday and if not please can you volunteer?   :bouquet:

I am worried about being on my own with one stand let alone potentially two given I'm relatively new to this and haven't much of a scooby about a lot of rare breeds or even some of the species, don't know the park to give directions and will have enough challenge to find the place and stand there for a few hours let alone give out relevant answers to questions :o

I had in mind that this was an opportunity to meet likeminded folk off this board on the same side of the table rather than embarrass myself and whoever I'm representing by my ignorance :o  HELP please  :-*

Don't panic - I'll be there on Friday  ;) ;D Only til around lunchtime though  :-\
The staff at the park will be there, as will Ruth from the RBST.
All we need to do is smile, explain to people what we're trying to do. Which is - encourage the local people to get involved with the day to day care of the animals, learning, having fun and spending time out of doors in the process. There wil be a leaflet that people can take away and we'll make up a 'cheat sheet' for everyone too.
Don't panic that you don't know anything - by the end of the first hour you'll be feeling MUCH more confident. We're not there to educate as such, just to try and attract people who want to help.
Remember your reiki "Just for today - do not worry" ;)
See you Friday  ;D
Lillian, the event officially starts at 11am, I'l be there from around 10ish (hopefully- depending on how lost I get ;) You know what I'm like ::) ;D) I'll do the arm twisting (and the begging) tomorrow

To find the park, just follow the brown signs for Palacerigg Golf Course which start outside Cumbernauld  :).  I'll see if I can find a map online.  Ellied - don't panic - as HH says, she will be there and Ruth from RBST - Ruth is lovely and will keep you right (so is HH of course  :D) .  You just need to be enthusiastic  8)  I think it will be relaxed and fun, so just look forward to enjoying the day.
