bulbs are coming through
« on: December 30, 2010, 07:47:49 pm »
the snow has nearly all gone and we have got bulbs starting to sprout, two clusters under a hedge in the holiday cottage garden, and in the barn we have two pots that were left by the previous owner with bulbs coming through, its a lovely sight

It felt like Spring today (in my head at least) - just so glad to see the snow going. It was mild and the sun was out - I had to remind myself that  it's DECEMBER!

Def feels like spring is in the air some mornings. The hens have started to lay and the bulbs are popping up. I think everything has been fooled by the early snow.

Let's hope we don't get early fruit blossom and then lose it all to more cold weather (although I suspect we will).

we're under a blanket of snow again in the Wee County!
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

I know!
I'm a new (ish) driver - I certainly feel like one! and had to drive on my own through it to get home from work. (work in hte midle of nowhere, all hills and one car width tracks .. and locals who maybe do really own the roads ;) )  some of my colleagues were stuck in the lower car park. my friend (heroine!) let me follow her at a distance so we weren't totally alone of anything happened, at least til I turned off.
quite nerve racking, but I did it!!

It is certainly lighter longer into the evenings, though cold.  but very dark mornings ...
