there was a documentary type programme once that said to stop your cat bringing mice in continuously you had to praise them heavily each time they did it and they won't feel the need to seek your approval and acceptance so much. I remember tony saying to our black fluffball, toby, "you are such a good boy, such a clever lovely good boy" in a really annoying gooey voice!! he did it for days, it didn't work.

ours will do it whether its appreciated or not!
Mind you, we had the kittens specifically for rat-catching... though they do like a good snooze by the fire too!
