In the current SF there's an annual questionnaire looking for your opinions and suggestions on the publication. The drawback from my point of view is the personal details they want too - my business not theirs. But perhaps if we all let them know we want more about smallholding they would have to listen. While we might not have large acreages, there are lots of us - to buy copies, which is surely what they want.
I find the sneering attitude of SF to Organics to be quite offensive, and also a bit stupid, as again there are plenty of people in Scotland who farm organically - all pennies in the coffers of SF if they give them a reason the buy the mag. It comes across as a 'good old boys' publication, speaking to the entrenched, traditional, commercial scale farmers and drinkers. But as we have to say - that's just MY opinion.
Still, I shouldn't be complaining as they have put in the paragraph about Palacerigg
